Need A Sitter, Inc. was founded in 1990, by Colleen Capstick as a premier word-of-mouth babysitting referral company. Colleen recognized a specific need in the market — a resource to help families connect with reliable babysitters. Need A Sitter was the first babysitting referral company in Memphis, Tenn., and is now expanding to other markets. It offers clients a unique user experience, allowing for customizable requests for short-term placements with high-quality sitters. Need A Sitter has built a reputation of quality through the use of proprietary, expert systems and an ever-growing network of childcare providers. For nearly three decades, Need A Sitter has thrived in the Memphis area. Now, the company is expanding by offering franchise opportunities throughout the United States. Need A Sitter is excited to share its business model with motivated women leaders looking to provide income for their family.

Auburn and Opelika, Ala. Need A Sitter Operator Kristin and her husband Doug are proud to have called Auburn home since 2013. Both Auburn graduates, they admit that one of their favorite things about the college town is attending football games at Jordan-Hare Stadium (War Eagle!); but they also love that even though Auburn is one of the fastest-growing cities in the state, it still maintains its small-town feel.
The Taylors know that Auburn has some of the best schools in Alabama—along with several of the most charming, family-oriented neighborhoods—which makes it an ideal place to raise a family. They and their two children, Charlotte and Douglas, are very active members of their church; and Kristin has been a part of two other unique Auburn businesses—Wrapsody Boutique and True40 Fitness. She is eager to continue to build relationships in the Auburn community and provide quality child care through a reliable service like Need A Sitter.
